The world outside of us is complex, adaptive, and often beautiful.

Being part of the world can bring us great joy. It can also feel like a struggle at times. It is a system made up of many parts, of which you are one.

We are systems within systems.

The same is true for 'You': you are a complex system of many interconnecting parts.

Your system as a living organism includes muscles, bones, fascia, organs, and your nervous system. When we think of 'me' we usually include all of these systems operating together as a cohesive whole, with a boundary around it somewhere in the vicinity of our skin. Taken together, the systems that comprise your body become one entity: 'Me'.

Via our complex nervous system, a new faculty emerges within us, with a fascinating property: we represent and interpret both the world outside and the biological systems inside, to help us survive and navigate our environment. We call this emergent representational system 'our mind'.

The mind is an agile part of our system, and it is self-reflective.

The images our mind creates become legitimate parts of 'You' as a whole embodied being. The many parts of our inner system react and respond to one another, mediated by the mind's representations of what it senses. These thoughts have a concrete 'reality' in the outside world too, because our inner images and narratives influence our external actions. Each event we experience, inside or outside of us creates, reinforces, or edits the images and programs in our mind. Sometimes, the response loops between mind, body, and world are positive--but sometimes we get stuck in loops that we notice are not so good for us or the people around us.

The beauty of all this? We are neuroplastic. The system is capable of shifting itself, literally reorganizing neural connections to change how we see the world around us, how we interpret memories of our past, and how we move forward through our unfolding life.

We come with built-in tools for our own repair and growth!

Our system is self-healing. Your body, which includes your mind within it, is constantly working to repair and improve. Millions of years of evolution are supporting its ability to learn, grow, and sustain itself. Every single piece of you is hungering to prosper, if given the right support-- no matter how long you've struggled until now, and no matter what your personal history has held.

It's already working hard at that, every single moment, even if circumstances are slowing it down. Our role, if we want to help it, is to hold space for the right kinds of dialogues to flow inside of us, to further unlock our built-in capacities for healing and growth.

  • Partswork (IFS) helps different sides of your personality talk to each other, build better relationships, and collaborate better inside your mind (and in your body) so you can operate as a coherent, integrated being with less inner tension.

  • Neuroaffective Touch helps your body tell its stories clearly and gently to your mind, releasing the memories stored in your bones, organs, fascia, and muscles, so they can be integrated into the conscious narrative of your life in a way that feels safe for all of you, and frees your body to live more fully in the present moment.

  • Bodywork and Biomechanics Education helps fluids, breath and energy to flow, unwinds tensions and compressions, and grounds you to the planet while lifting your spirits, letting you feel like a coherent organism that can move through space and time to accomplish your goals, large and small.

Your highest and best vision of our world fundamentally includes your highest and best self.

Personal work can feel self-centered, but it's important to remember: Our 'Self' doesn't stop at our skin. We are open energetic systems, inalienably integrated with a larger world that includes human society and every other being on our precious planet.

We are a reflection of that larger whole to which we belong, and developing the health of our own inner system creates a sustainable foundation for the work of bettering everything outside of us. Whatever your identity, your journey, or your calling, restoring your inner connections will give you fantastic tools to connect better with the things (and people) outside of you that matter most, bringing greater success to your undertakings, and to everyone affected by your presence.

You also have the most direct influence over yourself - no one can make you better except you! And a healthy You will overflow with abundance to give your best and truest gifts to the larger world. Especially if helping the wider world feels impossible, isn't something you've been able to consider, or you just want to get better at it, a good place to put some work is with the piece of the world that you have the most control over -- your own self.

YOU are part of MY highest vision for the world. Let's work together to support you in becoming the most vibrant, abundant, joyous and successful system -- and member of our mutual communal systems-- that you can be!
