Let's hold space
to turn and check inside.
Our inner world and our outer world affect and influence each other.
The best kind of adventures, healing, and growth encompass both realms.
Our awareness lives at the interface of two conjoined worlds: the world beyond our bodies, and a universe within. Our senses spend most of the time attending to the outside of ourselves. Meanwhile myriad internal sytems are quietly (or not so quietly) maintaining our function as a living being, and helping us to orient to what we sense outside.
Our inner world is vaster than we think, and includes both mind and body. The denizens of that vast world (our thoughts, our ideas, our muscles, our cells, our microbiome) are shaping our every moment. If we're not happy with our experiences --either what's happening outside of us, or how it feels to be in our own specific body and mind-- we might need to map out our personal universe a little more clearly. As we fill in our map, we can gently introduce the possibility of change in ways that are ecological for our specific inner topology: making life better for every single part of us. I call this Walking Within.

Internal Family Systems
Using IFS, we approach each person as a system made up of many parts. Parts can relate to one another like family members, functional or dysfunctional. By approaching parts with curiosity, compassion, and courage, we help, heal, and restructure our inner family.
Transformative Martial Arts & Athletics
Martial artists and athletes (and musicians and dancers and....) perform their best by coordinating their entire mind-body system. Performers who are stuck in their progress, or having trouble integrating mind and body on the field or on the mat are a great fit for integrative headspace coaching. Newer artists who want to find their own path are a great fit too.
